To develop the efficiency of caregivers and train them on the most optimal manners in which to deal with the elderlies, the Community Development Authority (CDA) trains and educates Domestic Labour who provide care services to the senior citizens with regard to social and health, as well as providing guidance on how to help the elderly spend their leisure time optimally, engage them in activities that best suit their health and social standing, and how to make the environment safe for them.
Additionally, these caregivers are introduced to guidelines on permissible exercises, how to use prescription drugs, personal hygiene, possible setbacks, how to contact authorities and other fundamental rules that a domestic caregiver needs to know and be aware of.
